On the 25th June 2006 in Nice, France, I officially completed my first Ironman challenge and achieved my lifetimes dream of becoming an Ironman!

In 30 Degree’s of heat over 1200 people started the race but only 874 finished!, the bike course being an absolute beast with 10% mountain climbs of 25-30k up to 3000m above sea level, what an experience!

I finished the race in 14hrs 30mins 36secs, with a 2.4 mile sea swim time of 1hr 10mins 59secs, 112 mile bike time of 8hrs 3mins 5secs and a marathon run time of 5hrs 16mins 32secs

On completing this challenge i also managed to raise just over £1000 for Cancer Research!
